Last year, Kangana Ranaut bought a plush bungalow in Pali Hill. The broker who was instrumental in making the deal has now approached the police saying that he hasn't been paid his dues yet.
Kangana Ranaut bought a bungalow on Pali Hill, Mumbai
last year.. The broker, who got the deal in place, Prakkash G Rohira, of
Karma realtors, has now approached the Khar police station with a complaint
that he wasn't paid his due in the brokerage. He claims that he was
instrumental in making the deal go through.
However, Kangana is denying the claims of the
complainant. As per current market standards, 1 per cent is the regular
brokerage, which Kangana claims she paid via her finance team. That amount is
itself around Rs 20 lakh. But the broker is now demanding a 2 per cent
brokerage.

Speaking to a leading daily, Kangana said, "My
finance team was taking care of the deal. The complainant was paid 1 per cent
brokerage close to Rs 22 lakh which as per Industry standards; now he is asking
for 2 per cent brokerage. At no point two per cent brokerage was decided on.
The money transferred is through the bank and all documents are
available."
When questioned by the daily, Prakkash said, " I'm
aware there will be blatant denials and things will be made to appear as if I'm
at fault -- it is standard defence. I have no intention to take this to media
as I'm the smaller one here and more prone to harm. I'm confident of my matter.
It's best to depend on evidence produced by all parties."
Reports suggest that Prakkash approached the police in
July end. The bungalow in question was bought by Kangana for Rs 20.07 crore
plus Rs 1.03 crore as stamp duty. The size of the property is 3,075 sq
ft. Along with the bungalow, Kangana has also got a 565 sq ft car parking
space.
